Week 3: You Have Permission

Hero Makers

What if the only thing holding you back wasn’t your past, your failures, or your doubts—but your permission slip? In this message, we uncover the hidden power of divine permission through the through Luke 5, as we watch Jesus step into Peter’s empty boat—not to fix his failure, but to reveal his future. This message will challenge what you think qualifies you, confront the safety nets you cling to, and awaken a vision that’s not just for you—but for those who will be reached through you. You don’t need more clarity—you need the courage to believe that you have permission. And maybe today, that permission is coming straight from God!

From Series: "Hero Makers"

When you hear the word "hero," what comes to mind? Maybe it’s a firefighter running into danger, a soldier on the battlefield, or a superhero saving the day. Heroes are bold. Heroes are fearless. Heroes change the world. But what if being a hero isn’t just about standing in the spotlight? What if the greatest heroes aren’t the ones trying to be the star—but the ones who empower others to rise? The world tells us that heroes are extraordinary people with special abilities, but Jesus flips the script. He calls ordinary people to do extraordinary things—not by their own strength, but through His power. "Whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these." (John 14:12) Jesus didn’t just come to be a hero—He came to make hero makers. He gave us a mission: "Go and make disciples of all nations..." (Matthew 28:19). He calls us to build, invest, and empower—to raise up others, to lead with love, and to leave a legacy that goes beyond ourselves. But there’s one thing standing in the way. It’s not the world, not our circumstances… it’s us. Join us for our new series, HERO MAKERS, as we discover how God is calling each of us to step into a greater purpose—not just to be heroes, but to make them.
