Week 3: Becoming One

In this message we reflect on God's inclusive love for all and our unique creation in His image. In John 17:20-23, Jesus prays for believers to be one, just as He is one with the Father. This unity is not something we create, but something we are brought into through Jesus. When we identify as one, all other distinctions fade away, and our unity is anchored in Jesus, who is our Way, Truth, and Life. As believers, we must maintain our bond with Christ, like bricks held together by mortar, to form an immovable, unified body. Understanding our purpose to spread the gospel and live in compassion and forgiveness binds us in perfect unity. Our authority as believers is activated when we focus on being one with God and His purpose, praying and acting with the authority He has given us.
