Your invitation and your story are the pathways that God uses to bring hope, help, peace, and purpose into the lives of people.
The scriptures record a time when a man named Simon accepted an invitation that changed his life. Jesus asked him to cast out his nets which weren’t solely for the purpose of catching fish. His direction was an invitation for Simon to dive deeper and open his eyes to the promises God had for him.
Jesus was offering Simon an exchange on life, let go of your nets and your identity as a fisherman, so that I can show you a better life. When you lead people to Christ, you are helping them exchange who they thought they were for who they are in God's eyes. You are helping people discover the true value of their lives.
Whether you know it or not, the journey of Christianity is a lot like a game; a competition to prevail, a grand stage before God and others to win, and how you respond to this and what you do can change the results of the game for you and those watching you! As Christians, the win isn't solely about us, it's about people far from God that He wants to bring near.
